Configuration
ProShip Server Selection
After installing, Velocity needs to pointed to a ProShip server in order to function. If this is not done, Velocity will prompt to select a server on startup, and will not be able to continue until a valid server is provided.
In order to point Velocity to a ProShip server, follow these instructions:
- Create a Velocity on the desktop from the executable located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ProShip\client\ProShip.exe
- Right click on the shortcut, select "Properties", and then navigate to the "Shortcut" tab.
- Add a "/Q" to the end of the "Target Path" contents, and directly after the "Q" enter the IP address, server name, or load balancer name that will be used to communicate with the ProShip server.
- Once finished, click "Apply". Velocity should now be able to communicate with the ProShip server on startup.
Database Drivers
Velocity integrations often access information from a customer's database. To perform this, the appropriate ODBC database drivers must be installed on the Velocity workstation. Please consult your IT team regarding the required drivers and installation on the machine.
